Follow the sales. Roku sometimes offers better deals than Amazon for its own device. They are so inexpensive. Get both. Roku lets you arrange all the the streaming apps. Amazon believes theirs is superior to others!!!

I can confirm what Dishrich says. You can force it to rerecord. If you already deleted the previous recording the Guide shows the red dot, not the gray dot.

Pretty sure the friend used Google to do his search for a Dish number. Of course, Google prioritizes the sites (that pay) since they need the revenue! It is easy to fall into that trap.

My Christmas wishes: 1-Create folders in EHDs. 2-Edit (rename) recorded shows from network subs when guide information is not available. I 've been good all year!!!

Give up 50 bucks or take a risk hurting yourself if the the roof is too steep. I try to save every nickel, too. I know too many guys falling from ladders, roofs and getting hurt. Not worth it unless the roof is almost flat.

In a perfect world Hopper would offer Autohop on every recording with commercial breaks. IMO, no fee based station will let that happen. Can you imagine how much we, the customers, will have to pay for that convenience?
