Is It A Bad Thing That ScoBuck Is So Quiet?

Agreed. "Almost every" is not the same as "every". It is just short of it.

Is It A Bad Thing That ScoBuck Is So Quiet?

LOL! No. I'm glad D* has new channels. I want them to get as many as they can. Either this will pressure E* to do the same, or I have a better option I can switch to. Either way, improvements at D* are better for me than if D*'s HD lineup were static. I was just offering a suggesting...

Is It A Bad Thing That ScoBuck Is So Quiet?

I guess I would still say that "almost every week" is almost "every week. Regardless, I would also say that one week out of six is neither every week nor almost every week.

Is It A Bad Thing That ScoBuck Is So Quiet?

The post in question was made on 9/30, so channels added on 9/26 do not count. The average since that prediction was made is 5.8, with only one week out of 6 being in the 10-15 range.

Is It A Bad Thing That ScoBuck Is So Quiet?

Almost every week and every week are not close to each other? They are almost the same. That is what almost means. And no, I did not forget to quote other things from you. I brought up the claim I wanted to discuss.

Indeed. Also "10-15". Pardon my paraphrasing.

Is It A Bad Thing That ScoBuck Is So Quiet?

:eureka I remember a time when a certain someone was running around the E* forums declaring D* would be adding 10/week, every week.

    New HD Channels Are On

Cool on the new channels. Bummer on the stretchovision. Is there any indication that channels like Cartoon Network will present their offerings in OAR? I'm hoping that getting their stuff up in "HD" is just a first step to getting something in HD that is watchable.

Was anyone just watching Discovery Chan HD? Audio white noise...

It was the same on E*. It must have been a problem at Discovery.

Wednesday 6am Channel List. on D*

I so hope E* picks up SciFI HD before the November BSG movie (or is it a miniseries?). SciFi has probably been the non-network channel people have anticipated in HD the most. Early adopters equals geeks equals SciFi watchers. That's just plain old math. Can't argue with math.

Wednesday 6am Channel List. on D*

I would expect a mix on a channel like SciFi HD. Their new shows, like Stargate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica are filmed in HD. I don't know about their horrible movies. It is going to take a while for some channels to have enough HD content. Given that, and the fact that other...

E* customer here, but not trolling. SciFI HD!!!! That is great news. How does it look? And why am I suddenly turning green?

    HD Channels are Launched

I, an E* subscriber, am really happy for you folks in D* land. This is great news. I wish I could see the PQ to compare. This is even good news for us E* folks, because it will put pressure on E* to up their offering. I don't really care about the premium channels, but it will be nice when...

    Very dissapointed in D*

The CSR's are the people customers are supposed to contact for information about their service. If the information customers get from CSR's is unofficial until the customer gets verification from someone else in the company, they are of no use to the customer. Some may argue that this...

    Very dissapointed in D*

Majority shmajority. If the one CSR I talk to tells me something, I consider it official information. That's why I call a company in the first place. I want official information.

    Sept 19th 6:00 AM HD D* PARTY!!

It is not the CSR's personally who are stupid. It is the CSR system. D* needs a system that allows accurate information to be disseminated to their customers. The CSR's should be given a daily brief on things like the HD roll out and told not to say anything more than they are given. And...

    Sept 19th 6:00 AM HD D* PARTY!!

I think this misses the point a bit. Customers should not really have to track the inner working of the companies they do business with. If a CSR says a certain product will be available at a certain time on a certain day, it should be available close to that time. When UPS says a package...

    Sept 19th 6:00 AM HD D* PARTY!!

As an E* subscriber, I was hoping D* would not only have more HD stations broadcasting today, but that there would be stations that we at E* do not currently get. Why? Because those would be stations that E* would pick up sooner than they otherwise would. And, hell, I feel for my brothers...

    Say Goodbye to TNTHD Today

Does anyone really need to justify wanting what they paid for? I don't watch TNT HD or NFL ST, but I think any viewer of either has every right to complain if their provider decided to use the bandwidth of either to show something else. Would it be ok for a landlord to rent your apartment...

12 more HD channels by the end of March?

LOL! I'm a fanboy of no company. The second I think D*is offering a better package for my needs, I'll be a D* customer. And I have plenty of complaints about E*. I just have no patience for absurdity. To say that E* is leasing their 622 under the exact same model as all their other DVRs...

12 more HD channels by the end of March?

I don't think it is a coincidence. Having no up front fee two years ago would make no sense, as they did not exist then. Making that change long after the early adopters have moved on makes no sense either. The price for leasing the 622 started out high, and has dropped ever since until it...

12 more HD channels by the end of March?

Is E* "giving away" 622s? Aren't they just leasing them with no upfront fees, the same way they do with their other DVRs? I don't see how that is "running scared". It seems to me that they got what they could from early adopters, and now have a stable enough HD base that they can treat HD...
