Directv Add Total Choice Family Tier

And no Discovery or The Learning Channel. I would have thought those two would have been included.

    Question about multiple DVI/HDMI inputs

I'm not sure about the switching, but you may want to wait a few months for the upscaling DVD. Value Electronics (a sponser for this site, can find their link on the top) has a shipment of the first HD-DVD's coming in March...and not only will it display HD DVD content but it will upconvert...

    Atlanta AT9 install in progress

I second that opinion. I live just north of Athens and was able to receive WXIA on channel 10 100% of the time, and the others were only 5-10% of the time. Though the Channel Master 4228 wasn't strong enough for my situation, it should help you greatly since you are half the distance to the...

    NE Atlanta DTV installer

A co worker of mine had his 5-lnb dish installed along with the H20 this past Saturday. He lives in Jefferson, and he said the installer came from South Carolina instead of Atlanta. It was apparently his first time to install the new dish, because he had problems and was on the phone the whole...

    DirecTV MPEG4 Rollout to begin

I actually saw a report somewhere that mentioned a Japanese outfit has started experimenting with Super HD with ? pixels x 4096 pixels. It said something about the display looked realistically 3D! Wait a minute...isn't that what they said about HD about 3-4 years ago? ;)

HD LiL for Atlanta set for Nov. 22?

Something that just occurred to me, will the SD channels still be active along with the HD channels on D*? If one of the HD signals die for some reason, will the SD still be there to use as a backup?

HD LiL for Atlanta set for Nov. 22?

D* website is now showing the HD locals are available for Atlanta. Right now, they show only ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX as available. Would have been icing on the cake if they had our others (TBS, PBS, WB, UPN).

DIRECTV rolls-out 4 more major DMAs with MPEG-4 LIL HD

How long is the $200 rebate for, and is it based on what DMA you are in? And along the lines that Rick4464 is asking, will the rebate apply to the DVR or HMC if the rebate lasts into Q1 06? I'm wondering if I should wait to sign up with D* until the DVR is available, or plunge into it now...

HD LiL for Atlanta set for Nov. 22?

That does sound strange! Why would they give you an OTA antenna when you would be receiving them through the D* service (to notice D* is compressing the signal and you can notify them of the error of their ways ;) )?

HD LiL for Atlanta set for Nov. 22?

If you are able to get a good signal at all times, then you wouldn't want this option from D* in most cases. For me, the only thing I could receive was NBC with the Channel Master 4228 and 7777 preamp mounted 40 feet in the air (I'm 60 miles from the towers with Stone Mountain right in my path...

HD LiL for Atlanta set for Nov. 22?

What are the local channels that are being offered at this time? I assume just ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. Will they ever offer TBS, WB, UPN, PBS, etc.?

HD LiL for Atlanta set for Nov. 22?

I told a coworker about this (he has D*), and he got some "I have no info on HD locals for Atlanta" lines, but he was persistent. He was placed on hold for a while, and then someone else came on the line and told him they would notify him within 48 hours what D* will do. Sounds to me like they...

HD LiL for Atlanta set for Nov. 22?

Did they happen to mention anything about what channels they are carrying and when the HD LiL would hit? I'm with E* right now, and I'm on the verge of leasing their HD DVR...but I want to know my options of D* HD LiL first.

HD LiL for Atlanta set for Nov. 22?

I ran across this on a local Atlanta forum. Is there any proof or more info anyone else can share on this? "The date for the MPEG-4 rollout in Atlanta is now November 22nd. I happened to run into a Direct TV training session in Duluth (accidentaly) and they had the new receiver and the...
