    Not true - SAVING PRIVATE RYAN was shown unedited in True HD. Maybe your friend had the TV or receiver picture set incorrectly, or Comcast was upconverting the SD feed for some reason...

    Sooooooo.... any word yet on leased equipment? I read a while back that may be a possibility... Have HD Dish now, sitting on the fence waiting to see if as an existing subscriber I can upgrade to their HD-DVR for $250. I would be extremely willing to switch if I could lease an HD-DVR and SD-DVR!

    I'm a current Dish subscriber and am thinking really hard about switching to DirecTV. I currently have (1)811 HD receiver, a 508 and a 510 (SD-DVRs) and (1) 301. Come 8/1, will I be able to lease comparable equipment from D*, including an upgrade to an HD-DVR? With minimal up-front costs...
