Check with the station online. Sometimes they need maintenance and will need to lower power for the workers, They usually have notice on website.

The best way is to run cables from both antennas to a switch behind the box. Otherwise mixing the signal from both antennas can create interference.

Interesting that you mention merge. As Directv has leased a few sats to Dish when Dish had sat failure along with Bell Tv which is Dish Canada. But I would rather have competition is good.

They were giving them out if ota market channels were in a contract despute with dtv. They no longer do that and i searched and asked everwhere. Best bet is Ebay or craigslist.

I had to search threw craigslist and found one. The lcc doesn't work on older models.

Diodes puff up and go bad on those. I use a dc filter on mine. You can replace those with solder gun. There is a article here somewhere.
