Signal disappears between 8pm and noon

Not really in order to maintain orbit Satellites are continually flown to maintain position, the most common pattern is a figure 8 in an oblong box at the location. When peeking large dishes it is best done when the bird is in the centewre of the box. This is how ever not the case with a 18" dish.

    Repeatable SFSS

The first basic thing all receivers must have a feed from either the dish or proper multi-switch. At this point the other receivers are piggy backing of the HD receiver. This is a sign of a bad switch or they are unable to get voltage or tone to the Dish/switch. Try unplugging all receivers in...

    Need Receiver Recommendation

The 490 RE is a ultimate, you can exchange for a referb at RCA and see if they have any waranty on the new one. Otherwise your only option is to change to a TIVO Model. If you can live without PIP or the internet then that is what I would do.

Pron since switching to triple LNB

You are definatly losing signal, assuming that you installed the C-sat Kit correctly, 110 LNB combined with 18 Volt (even Transponders) you must have knocked your dish slightly out of alignment. Did you ever have SFSS on the 119 Sat. Things to check Ch 100 and 500, these are the even and odd...

"Searching for Satellite signal" error message??

Rebooting by pulling the plug on a receiver resets more then just the receiver, By unplugging it you also clear the LNB and or multiswitch. Many are looking into the Idea of a whole house reset, clear all voltage to LNBs and or multiswitches. In the phase lll dish the first receiver plugged in...

"Searching for Satellite signal" error message??

You can try and reboot the receiver by unplugging for 15 seconds. However I would be sure and check my Sat in Cable first, SFSS is a loss of signal. If your other receivers are working I would look at these two things first.

    Diplexer Problem

On the Diplexer there are two paths, one has a solid line from input to output this is the side that goes to the Sat In the other goes to the Atenna In. Be sure you have a Di Plexer and not a standard splitter. There are some Satellite Slitters that will work again the solid line from in to out...
