So does anyone have a calculation that if a movie was 1080p60 what the speace requirement would be? Just looking at the frame rate being 2 1/2 times higher than the current release would lead one to increase capacity that much? I know that compression could make a big difference here.

Of course in a cynical way the less capable videotape format mat won the battle from a picture quality aspect. Also deciding on which format is the best based on one player from one brand seems like a reach... Just don't buy the samsung...... I have read elswhere that the component output was...

So why write a review on the sammy when you don't have an HD disc? At that point I couldn't care less about the rest since the only reason for buying it as an early adopter is to se blu-ray. Too me really weird to spend the time to type something up that is really incomplete.

Cost would be the only issue that I could think that would cause them to not provided it.

Small detial though is that film is also shot at 24 fps which during an action sequence can get a bit blurry. Resoultion isn't the only paramer to look at for example dynamic range would be another not so good thing about film.

Okay crystal ball time. It won't matter a player will be built that supports both formats and the titles will be provided by kiosk in stores instead of factories in china.
