    OTA tuning still has issue but there's a workaround My caller id displays the incoming tel# ok. I had the box lock up when slowly scanning over a bogus OTA channel. This behavior is the same as the previous s/w. Channel 5.11 is the culprit. Once I hide this bogus channel I can tune ok.

    No lockups with new software

    I have had lock ups with the new version. Usually happens while changing channels really fast. Have to power cycle the box to fix it. Just powering it off, i.e. not removing a/c power, is not enough. In fact the last time it happened the menu stayed on the screen even though the box looked like...

    Since getting 6.2, one of my OTA channels is maintaining a lock better. It's hard to know if the s/w is responsible as many of the OTA channels in my area are still working on their antennas and transmitters.

    Since 6.1 loaded I tried to use the program planner tonight. It says "your program planner has been updated" but if I then check the planner it is empty. Also it does not tune when the time arrives. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? :mad:

    hassles I had to do the press and hold the power button bit yesterday, but other than that the only problems I've had are the usual video and audio drop outs on HD channels. :eek: Still running 5.68 code.

    PQ does seem to be better on the few SD channels I've checked lately.

    picture quality I've been gone for about a week. I don't remember seeing problems in June but I can't miss them now. Picture and sound take a hit very often, about every 15 secs. Satellite quality is at 96 and steady. Hopefully it's at the transmitter site and not the satellite itself. :confused:

    Voom Satellite mounting options

    You can get a 5 gal. plastic bucket and fill it with cement. Stick a pipe in the middle and make sure it is plumb before the cement hardens. That should hold a small dish ok.
