So, tell me about the 942 DVR

No, you just need to send a RG6 cable to the second set. The output is sent via coax and you have your choice of channels between twenty something and 69.

Anyone waiting on a 942 straight from E*?

I ordered my 942 straight from Dish on their internet self order page. My install is today. The 942 showed up yesterday. The installer called to confirm the 942 shipment about 1 hour after my wife signed for it. I hooked up the 942 to my existing Voom dish (61.5) and was watching the HD...

    Voom OTA/Directv Question..

It is possible that he moved the antenna a little, and you are getting Multi-path interference on your antenna, causing those channels to not tune for you.

Anyone Receiving Voom On The West Coast??

My install is Friday. I am not scheduled to get the Voom channels, I was instructed to call and add them after the installation. I will let you know as soon as I know what is going on.

    offer from dish...this is better!!!!

The qualifying level of service is the America's 60 plan, so you can downgrade to that level and not pay the penalty.

    Official Offer Letter from Dish

If it is a con, then why is the phone number in the letter the same as the one that VOOM is advertising on it's own website?

DISH to carry all 21 in 2006

I just signed up with DISH for a 4-room deal. The HD DVR 942 and the SD DVR 625 are in the package. 299.99 delivered and installed. I am leasing both boxes. Both STB's have 2 satellite tuners and the HD one also has an OTA ATSC tuner. They use each box to feed 2 tv's. I did the 2 year...

Need the Following information From Voom Subs

Here's a weird one: I also have a Grand Wega like Sean Mota, so my initial assumption was that I had the same resolution that Sean has, but when I checked I was surprised to find a proprietary setting for my TV. Mine is native resolution of 1386 by 788. I am using the DVI input from the...

    Super-DMA is being released!

I did a little channel surfing last night and checked my hidden channels. Lo and behold, I have several new channels! I got the new DMA Supermap! I may have received this a couple of days ago and I just got around to noticing it. I did a new channel scan, hoping that I might find a new OTA...

    Super-DMA is being released!

Any word on whether the SuperDMA maps are still rolling out to Los Angeles this week? The Dolan's little feud may have affected some of the Voom employees a little. I hope they still get my DMA super map working in the next day or so. :D

    VOOM DBS News

My answer to the question "Has this article impacted your relationship with VOOM?" is No. Will I be continuing Voom service until a better alternative comes along? Yes. Since the poll doesn't contain my answer, I chose not to vote.

Would u rather see Voom raise their rates to stay on ?

I think it works out to $17,000 annually per subscriber to make Voom break-even. I wouldn't want to pay that much.

Any ideas to get out of my contract?

I recommend letting the other party involved in the contract break their side of the deal. If they decide to terminate then they will owe you the $250. (Just a random thought... I don't know if the wording will allow this, I don't have a copy of the contract.)

    VOOM TIMELINE

Sean, although this does read in chronological order, it would be easier for me to see what the newest stuff is if you did a reverse sort on your history, putting newest first. I do check in here from time to time to see what history is being made. Thanks

Mods- It is my belief that this thread is not titled correctly. Should read: "Nothing to see here, move along"

    Rainbow Spin-off is dead

Please, show a link to something. The only thing that I could find on that site was someone's interpretation of the Rainbow spin-off filing. They read it that Voom was closing, but that isn't what the filing says at all. If you are going to make claims of news, please link to the news.

    Ellipitcal Dishes Coming Soon??

I sure hope that this DOESN'T mean that the over 70 channels of HD that they have promised us are just DUAL FEEDS of all of the channels. They could go from 39 channels to 78 channels just by sending an East Coast and a West Coast feed of every channel. Please don't let it be so. I would...

    Anyone looking at Rainbow2 yet?

The idea of the elliptical dish is that it has two focusing surfaces, thus the ability to focus on two separate satellites. With the elliptical dish you will be able to receive signals from both satellites.

VOOM Satellite Service to Dramatically Increase to Over 70 HD channels by March 2005

Do you think that there MIGHT be somebody else that CAN'T get PBS HD and who might think it would be NICE to be able to get this channel? I really doubt that Voom decides what to offer their subscriber base based on what FreddyvsJasonvsAsh can receive off the air.

    New Voom Ad on ESPN

I was watching ESPN on VOOM a couple of days ago and saw a VOOM ad. I was pleasantly surprised. I quickly changed to the ESPN feed from my cable provider, Adelphia. I saw an ADELPHIA ad there. I think that Voom may be inserting their ad when ESPN tells them to insert a local ad. I don't...
