    Seandudley, I would try calling Voom and ask them to deactivate all your equpment and than to reactivate them. Maybe there is a somekind of bug in your software. Let us know if this helps you out. I have had Voom do this to my equipment before too.

    Voom Receivers on Sale @ Ebay

    I think all of us should complain or report this to ebay. I think Voom also should contact Ebay about their equipment up for sale on the site. As others has mentioned Voom will not activate any of these receivers.

    Did you have the right antenna installed for your area? Which antenna did Voom install for you? They normally install the Channelmaster Stealth which looks like a wing.

    Satellite Signal Strength?

    I would call Voom and tell them where you live and that you experience rain fade problems and would like to upgrade to a larger dish. I believe people on the west cost can get a larger dish.

    OTA antenna upgrade advice

    I am using a Channelmaster 4228 which is rated for 60+ miles. I have this antenna mounted inside my atttic and has been working fine. This antenna is a large directional antenna.

    satellite box

    The red satellite usually is on when your on OTA channel. However, when you go to a channel that comes from the sat it will go green. This is a minor clitch with one of the new software upgrades.

    I have a Sammy DLP (rear projection) all my locals work fine with it. The PQ is also good. Also there are a couple of people in this foreum that uses front projection TV's with really large screens. Maybe they will also reply to this thread.

    Is the Stealth antenna suggested for your area? Go to www.antennaweb.org can check to see if you need a better OTA antenna. I had the Stealth installed here in VA and it was the wrong OTA antenna for my area. I got upgraded to a Channelmaster 4228.

    Lost OTA Channels fixed by replacement Sat Box

    Make sure you don't put any equipment on top of the Voom stb too. Needs to have good air flow. I still have one orginal stb with my install back in 3/04. I had the other stb replaced two times.

    Local Channels

    You locals should be ABC, NBC, CBS, WB, UPN, FOX, PAX, and PBS. These are the locals for Hampton Roads-VA that I get OTA.
