I don't know about the power level, but I think I can answer the other part of your question. XM has two satelittes in geo-stationary orbit, I think at 85W and 115W (I could be wrong). They do have spares, but I think only those two transmit currently. So if you have XM antenna, once you...- Aurora

Possible to have a mixed Sirius/XM sub?
They really need to add the ability to do family plan discount when you have a mix of XM and Sirius hardware on one account. My car has Sirius built in, wife's car has XM built in. We can't justify paying two full subscriptions so Sirius/XM is getting 0$ from us rather than allowing us to do...- Aurora
