    In Boston, Comcast has very good quality HD. I would have to say BEV is very comparable to Comcast quality, only I get west coast HD feeds with BEV also. I can't speak for Dish, I never saw it. I don't know if their mpeg4 compression sucks as bad as Direct Tv.

    ALL the hd channels on Bev look great to me compared to my DirectTV mpeg4 piece of sh--! I get my locals from Boston on Bev and the picture is like night and day compared to DirectTv.

    reinstalling my system after a long rehab and I have a problem. I get strong signals on both 91 and 82 and they are locked, but when i do the switch test I get : odd and even on 91 but just odd on 82 with no even. What am I doing wrong?

    Well, according to my broker, I should be getting at least the barker channels. He said to check the switches and the alignment. Then call for a rehit. Back to the roof tomorrow, not easy for a big fat guy!

    BEV HD equipment in Boston MA

    I'm in South Boston and bought a 6200 system from KuSat in Canada last year. They also sell dishes separately. I know its far from local, but shipping was fast. I installed it on my rooftop myself. It was much easier to install than my DirectTV 3 lnb dish. Good Luck.

    I have had my ExpressVu 6100 receiver disconnected from the dish and power source for about 3 months due to a remodel. I reconnected everything and its got no picture or sat signal. Do I have to contact my broker to get a rehit from the satellite company? Thanks

    I got a bill from UPS and had no idea what it was for so I diregarded it and never got another. I wasn't trying to stiff anyone, I just didn't know what the bill I got a month after delivery of my system was for.

    Activation Question

    Well, I contacted a broker, who also sold me the equipment. The company emailed me with the cost of the programming and my next bill would be on 11/25. I'm still waiting for activation from Bell. Does anyone know if this is a normal time frame or should I get in touch with the broker again?
