    SC free preview starts today

Really? I did a test several months ago with my 405. I received a number of "in the clear" channels including Knowledge network and Alberta legistlative channel. I should try it again.

    SC free preview starts today

Might be a dumb question but here it goes... Would a previously-activated SC box be able to receive the free previews? I was a subscriber until about 2 years ago. I still have the box (DSR-405) and can turn my dish to point at the Anik satellites.

If you decide to go with EVu you can re-use the existing Dish hardware. Both providers use the same equipment.

    Newbie Question on BEV

Well, a bigger dish is probably your only option at this point. If the footprint doesn't quite reach your area there isn't much else you can do. You could certainly try using separate dishes for 82 and 91, with a bigger one pointed at 82.
