IIRC, when standing behind the WD DIRECTV dish. The dish degrees on the tilt plate are numbered 0 to 180° in a clockwise direction with 90° at the top of the arc when the dish is exactly level horizontally (meaning the LNB Skew is 0°). For the Slimline it's 0 to 180° counterclockwise. So for...

I wonder why Orby choose an elliptical dish anyway for a single satellite slot service? Elliptical dishes are really needed for receiving from multi-sat positions at once. Unless Orby wants to future-proof for possible expansion to other slots. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk

Remember though, if you're using a DIRECTV Slimline mount the skew or "tilt" setting on the back plate is numbered to be 90° minus the skew number from dishpointer. So you would set the skew on the dish back plate for 90°- 39.8° or approx. 50°. Sent from my LM-V600 using Tapatalk

Or if you don't mind spending a bit more and while supplies last from some distributors like S.S. here .... You can forget about retrofitting a DIRECTV Slimline and just use their old (and now obsolete) 95W World Direct dish and LNBF. Works exactly the same as an original Orby dish. ...

While I agree with the 8 db insertion loss of the four-way splitter as it's really a "power divider." I don't see how the diplexers cause a 3 db loss. As they're actually band combiner/isolaters. And thus either combine the power of two input bands (minus some bulk material loss of the diplexer...

Actually what looks to be almost identical to the Orby dish, even right down to the 11.7-12.2 GHz linear LNBF. Is DIRECTV's (now "former" as they're ceasing production of it) 95w international dish for their "World Direct" service. So may want to save yourself some headaches trying to convert...
