Adding UVerse TV. Told I would need to cancel UVerse first.

I called AT&T UVerse customer support. I'm going to call during the week and talk to someone else. I agree. I can't see why I'd have to do that.

Adding UVerse TV. Told I would need to cancel UVerse first.

I currently have internet and phone service through AT&T Uverse. The modem I have is a Motorola NVG510. TV service is now available in my area and I was told by an AT&T rep that since it's a different technology, I'm assuming the modulation and modem, that I would need to cancel service first...

    Cable Guy Steals Customer Amp

A cable guy came to install two cable cards in my Tivo. He cheked the signal levels and said they are a bit high. So what he does is change some wiriing out and gives me this new cable amplifier. Unforunately I didn't stay in the basement where all the wiring is located the entire time he is...

    A few cable company issues.

I would like to know people's opinions on what would be a fair compensation to the following issues that I've had the past 2 months with our cable company. To start things off, we decided to get digital phone installed. About an hour into the scheduled appointment time, a lady called from the...

SA 8300HD DVR with SD TV

You can hook up the component cables, but the 8300HD has to be confgured to display only 480i. in the setup menu. Time Warner usually will not hook up a HD box to a non-HD tv. The s-video should be no problem displaying the picture, but again, they may not install it at all.

Ground gets wet, cable signal goes down.

What's a TDR? The fiber optic line was ran on the opposite side of the road. But where the node is, if you call it that, where the fiber gets converted to coax, is just a bit back up the line, in front of where the gas co. was. Before this also, we used to have 6 tvs connected without an amp...

Ground gets wet, cable signal goes down.

I have noticed a problem that I've contacted Time Warner several times on this issue. A few years ago, a house down the road was getting gas installed, from the street. I happen to notice that when they were doing this, the cable went out. I didn't think too much of it at the time. Later that...

Can't record Playboy tv in guide.

When I want to record a show on Playboy Tv, i go into the guide and select record. I have a model SA 8300HD Dvr. It just asks if I want to buy it or cancel. I pay a monthly subscription to it. Is this a bug in the system, or is it just not possible to do it since it's also a PPV channel. I can...

Is Time Warner going to offer the Multi-Room DVR?

I can see there point to run the feature over existing cable, since it cuts down on installation time, plus they are probably worried about preventing people from using an ethernet port to gain access to the unit, like Directv and Tivo. A cable gal came here a few weeks ago and I asked her about...

    Multiroom DVR viewing coming soon:

Let me know if that's true about having several MVR units. I know for sure that if you have an SA 8000 or 8300 non-mvr, it won't be able to get anything from a MVR DVR. It doesn't have the software in it. I know it's already a DVR, but you won't be able to use both features on it.
