RG6 Quad Shield Cable Black vs White?

Perhaps, but its not used as the UV protectant in most PVC cables (at least ones of any quality). Each cable manufacturer will have a proprietary blend of PVC and a "protectant", some protectants merely strengthen the bonds in the polymer, others will change the molecular structure to tighten...

    PPC Perfect?

The "indoor" series does have the UV stabilizer additive in it. Some people when ordering see "outdoor quad shield" and order it thinking that means it has the messenger for aerial or sat usage. So the idea was anything that is a plain cable is called "indoor", anything with a messenger or...

Who makes the best multi-fit connector?

Well that is what makes America great, the ability to agree to disagree. You like Stirling, and that's great. If you like them, then use them. But I need to use what is approved, and after reviewing testing done both by cable and satellite companies and my own experiences I find that I have to...

Who makes the best multi-fit connector?

Hard question to answer, What connectors are approved for your system? PPC and SNS are approved for dish and direct, Stirling is not, I think I'd rather use an approved product than get charged back just to save a few cents. SNS is imported, PPC is made in NY, not sure where stirlings are...

Did everybody know how many patents PPC has?

They have over 250 patents, many more applied for. Many of the patents are from trap designs, connectors no longer in production, and material design (like plastic formulations). As for why they don't sue more often, they do, just noone hears about it, many cases are settled in patent cases...

Did PPC stop making the SUV series?

SUV has ceased production, PPC shut down production a few weeks ago, no customers left to sell them to. Crimp was fine in its day, but compression creates a more weather sealed connection, along with the ability to pass the higher frequencies required for sat as we look to the future.

Has anyone else heard that PPC is going to stop making the EX connector?

Not true, the EX connector has a large cable following, it is not going anywhere. The nut on the xl is the same as the ex, it costs alot of money to make different nuts for different connectors. The same nut is currently used on all cmp 59 and 6, ex 59 and 6, exxl 59, 6, plenum, and headend. a...
