I left DISH and went to U-verse back in 2008. After a year with U, I dumped that crappy service and now have Comcast. At least in the Chicago area, more channels, shaper HD PQ, and faster internet.

I had U-verse and hd pq was the worst out of Comcast,DISH, and DIRECTV. The hd stream thing get worse if you are recording hd while trying to watch hd on multiple tv's. Recording counts against the hd available.

Now that COMCAST has taken over NBC, does anyone know if we will now get some additional channels?? Specifically SLUETH & CHILLER(we don't have them here on my COMCAST lineup) which are owned by NBC.

I dumped DISH last fall for U-verse and couldn't be happier. U-versre blows DISH away in the television department. This is a company that continues to expand and improve their product unlike the cheap and fading DISH;)

I got U-verse last Oct. and since then the HD PQ has improved beyond my expectations. Not only that but the SD channels PQ are better then any service(I've had them all) I've ever had. U-verse recently improved the performance of the HD DVR. This is a service that is continuing to improve .

I have had U-verse since late since last Oct. Not only has U-verse added many HD channels, the PQ has gotten much better, especially recently. Currently you can watch hd on two sets at once, three may be possible by later this year.

I dumped DISH for U-verse. However, I left my DISH active until U-Verse was up and running then waited a few days to terminate service with DISH. I had no problem doing that.

I live in Orland Park and dropped DISH for U-verse. HD pq about the same, but U-verse has many more HD stations. The system can handle two hd streams at present, possibly three in the near future. I didn't have any comparison with Direct HD.
