Time Warner Cable To Pull Viacom's MTV, VH1, Nick & Comedy Central Off (Averted)

The bigger question is....how many of those 13 million subscribers would really care? I for one wouldn't. It's about time providers start playing hardball with the programmers. Times are tough right now. When does it end. They keep upping the fees but yet they keep decreasing actual...

The Future of On Screen Advertising

Is this the future of on screen ads during programming? (watch the whole video) :) YouTube - These ads are getting out of hand!

Directv Adds 10 HD Channels Today

That would have been more laughable if you said DishNetwork. :)

    Tbs Hd

Even though I think TBS sucks, I can still be objective based on what I see. I saw stretched-non hd content on a new FrankTV on Tuesday. The premier of the show was in HD as was the Ellen variety show. Both looked good. After that, what happened? If they can provide good HD once, why can't...

    Tbs Hd

The new FrankTV this Tuesday was in stretchovision and I doubt if it was in HD even though TBS said it was. There is no excuse for them not presenting their own program in HD and presenting them in the proper format. It may be a new channel but, if TNT can do HD properly (I am not a TNT fan...

    Tbs Hd

TBS is a poor excuse for an HD channel. I wish I had the option to drop it until they get their act together. One or two programs in HD and then repeats of the same program in stretched SD doesn't cut it in my book.

    Cablevision will hike cable rates

Let them go bankrupt and fail. I could care less. The quality programmers will rise to the top and the garbage channels will sink. It's a simple matter of supply and demand. To the contrary, your programming cost will go down because the programmers will be competing for your dollars...

    Cablevision will hike cable rates

The only way to counter this is speak with your dollars, cancel service and make sure they know why you canceled service. Also, demand that you have the option of ala carte pricing so you can pick and choose the channels you want not the channels they force you to have and pay for. If you...

HD Channel List: Dish Network vs DirectTV

It makes no difference what you or I or anyone else thinks. Both D* and E* will market their channels in whatever way they feel will showcase their business.

DIRECTV HD: Not Everything Is HD

you call them HD channels but, it is still misleading and inaccurate to the non-tech viewer because they are paying additional for HD channels that have little or no HD. People are thinking they are watching HD and they aren't. Both E* and D* are both guilty, but D* is even more guilty because...

DIRECTV HD: Not Everything Is HD

Personally, I think it's terribly misleading especially to the non-technical tv viewer. Since many of the new not-so HD channels stretch or crop their SD picture to fill the screen, many viewers think they are watching HD even though it's not. D* and E* are reaping the benefit of this...

    Comparison of MPEG4 of D* and E*

I know it's been less than a week but, can anyone give an "objective" comparison of like MPEG4 channels for D* and E* yet? Objective information only please and no hate posts. :)

D* or E*, who will have most national HD on 12/31/07, read text before voting please

I feel as though I have been disenfranchised....count the chads please

D* or E*, who will have most national HD on 12/31/07, read text before voting please

I did vote but I'm a proponent of quality over quantity so I could care less if more HD channels are added at the expense of picture quality; however, I would not be opposed to more HD with better quality :)

Why do we continue to pay for channels..

Yeah, like the ex CEO of Home Depot who got a severance package in excess of 210 million because of poor performance. That's the American way.
