What about this $10,000 beast: hxxp://www.ebay.com/itm/Satellite-dish-10-meter-Size-for-sale-C-band-Scientific-Atlanta-/161063553092?pt=US_Antenna_Dish_Mounting_Gear&hash=item258022c844 Good for picking up those hard to get channels!

    Craigslist dishes for your perusal

It does look to be in great condition. Even if the pole was ruster or whatever, I guess I could just get a new pole. And there's this one too: http://kitchener.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-electronics-Satellite-Dish-10-foot-W0QQAdIdZ426093237 Which one's better?

    NBC Network Feeds

AMC 1 at 103 degrees does have about a -26 degree skew. I've setup a dedicated LNB on my railmount setup for my motorized dish (which has 4 other LNB's on it). Perhaps AMC 18 also has an oddball skew... I'm not sure.

Where to Buy New C Band Dishes?

If there is a servo motor in one's setup, will you notice a delay when changing channels that go from horizontal to vertical polarity?

Where to Buy New C Band Dishes?

I did contact Roger at rpssat a while back, but he didn't have any new dishes at that time (because of SAMI).

Where to Buy New C Band Dishes?

Oh ok. So I wouldn't need a servo motor though with the dual feedhorn and multiswitch, as that would become redundant?

Where to Buy New C Band Dishes?

Why does 18V need to be applied to both at all times? I thought the idea of 2 LNBs with the dual feedhorn was to have 1 LNB at 13V for Vertical and the other at 18V for Horizontal?

Where to Buy New C Band Dishes?

Well, I've done some more searches, and found some more sites that haven't updated their webpages, which is too bad. I guess a lot of distributors relied on SAMI, and since they are no longer around, they haven't updated things, but they should have. I know it is tough to tell which sites are...

Where to Buy New C Band Dishes?

I appreciate all the applies. The one thing I would like to point out though is that I have searched online for new C Band dishes myself, and have stumbled across many pages. But the pages are out of date, because when I do contact the webpage owners they tell me they no longer have things...

Where to Buy New C Band Dishes?

I'll have to sneak it across the border: "What 12 foot C Band dish border patrol officer??? I don't see one in the back!!!"

Where to Buy New C Band Dishes?

Thanks for the replies. I think I would want to go with mesh. Mike Kohl did respond after I contacted him and he told me that mesh dish production is still several weeks away. He told me that SAMI sold their manufacturing equipment to a colleague of theirs, and a new antenna line will indeed...

Where to Buy New C Band Dishes?

I just need one. I'm interested in backhaul / wildfeeds on C Band. I get some on Ku, and have optimized my setup there... now it's time to move onto C Band. And yes, I would spend the money on a new one (why else would I ask).

Where to Buy New C Band Dishes?

I realize there are plenty of used C Band dishes available throughout the US and Canada, but are there places that still sell new 10 or 12 footers? Since SAMI went out of business, many places state they don't sell any large dishes. I'm located in Canada, so Canadian sites would be preferred...

C-Band Ribbon Cable into a Diseqc Switch

So you can move your C-Band dish with the AZBox Bob? Or do you have a V Box / G Box slaved to it to move it?

C-Band Ribbon Cable into a Diseqc Switch

Ok, thanks for the replies. C-Band is a whole new ballgame it seems like. I do have an AZBox Premium Plus HD receiver, but I guess it can't move the dish? I'm thinking about getting dual Norsat 8115 LNB's used in conjunction with a Chaparral 1329 dual feed feedhorn. So that way I would not...

C-Band Ribbon Cable into a Diseqc Switch

I found this description of C-Band ribbon cable online: "It has 3 conductor-20 gauge stranded for Feedhorn, 2 conductor-16 gauge stranded for dish mover power, 2 conductor 22-gauge stranded plus bare wire for dish mover sensor, 2 RG sweep tested coax, one for C-band, one for Ku-band." So one...

    C Band Subcriptions

Obviously I was being facetious with the Planet Earth remark... but again, I was just asking generally about C-Band subscriptions and if any are available on 125, so I didn't think posting my location was relevant.

    C Band Subcriptions

My location is in my profile... it says Planet Earth... that didn't narrow it down enough? :) But I do know about amps and such... and I know I'm just a little too far to get a reliable signal without putting up a huge mast, and I don't want to do that. But I was inquiring about C-Band anyways...
