    So I was looking around and ran across this, Rainier Encore D9865H and was wondering if they are any good? They don't show much for a channel line up either. I thought I'd ask and see if anybody has one?

    Anybody by chance know the diameter of most fta mounts for these 3ft dishes? I ask because we got a Hughes net dish and the mount is pretty beefy and it would be nice to maybe make use of the mount itself for fta if possible.

    Not to mention the prices are way out of hand too, which is why I'm looking at other options. But yeah, it was really fun surfing the sky back in the day when c-band was going strong.

    Yeah, I've put about 2 c-band dishes up and learned from a installer back in the day as to how, so it shouldn't be a problem other than the tuff part the alignment.

    So, I take the receiver is ok, but just the dish being a tad bit too small? I also seen one's with a motor than can move like a c-band dish, are those ok since they can scan the sky or are they trouble?

    Nope, I wasn't looking for those kind of channels. I was just wondering what all was up there, since it's all free and probably some what like the good old c-band days, which man I miss those days I might add.:(

    Ok, what kind of fta is a good, but affordable system? I have two c-band dishes, but they are not put up and just sitting around being stored and would like to maybe use one again, but just doesn't seem like it would be worth while, since you can get a fta system with dish, but just not sure...

    C-band dish to receive Directv programming.

    Yeah I was told that Dish uses a different technology for their HD signal and when I was with them in my opinion it held better. Otherwise I really don't have any other complaints about Directv.

    Well I had Directv come out about 2 weeks ago and he said the receiver is producing the 4 digit code showing the installation/signal is good. Now I am sure that just because it produced that code doesn't mean that the dish could be out of alignment by a hair, which would surely affect the harder...

    My Directv dish uses the single lnb to pickup the 99,101, and 103 satellites. So, I am not sure if that would be a issue. The good question is if I found the adapter is it capable of receiving their HD signal?

    I have a motorola dsr 922 and was wondering what a proper unit id should look like,the reason i ask is because it's 8 years old and i'm not using it however i do keep it plugged in and am thinking of selling it so i want to make sure the unit id is intact.

    Signal up/down.

    Don't know what causing this but my signal seem's to drop as the temperature goes up and increases when it goes down just yesterday wich it was colder than today my signal on G1-12 was 80 with a fairly clear picture now today got a signal of 74 with quite a bit of sparkles, anybody else...

    Bud idled Hi, yeah i would check the actuator to see if it seized up and also i just started using my bud after 4 years and both my C and Ku-band lnb's were shot,but you will probably have to wait till you get a receiver to know if there good or bad when i got my receiver and plugged it in...

    Yep called them and sub. to something fixed the guide problem.

    Kinda weird but i,ve been getting the guide up to yesterday for about a month and a half since i had the receiver authorized guess i got lucky for that period of time i had the programming center do the authorization.

    Yeah i got a dc light checked signal and quality both look good to me 100/71 also tried unplugging the receiver no change so i'm thinking it's probably because i need to sub. to something so i'll have to see what they offer that's small would sub. to more but already have a huge dishnet. bill.

    Looks like that still didn't work i'm wondering if it's because i'm not subscribed to anything i did have the receiver authorized when i got it almost 2 months ago and the guide was working is it possible that it lost the guide because of not subscribing to anything.
