    When I ran a 1.2m dish, I used a plastic bag and some zip ties to cover the LNBF and conical scalar. Obviously if you were going to do that, you'd want to use plastic that will withstand the sun, and you'll likely have to replace it once or twice a year. But it's a simple way to keep the water...

    Ahhh I get it now... you used the hose clamps to get the feed positioned at the focal distance, and then you're free to adjust the polarity. Makes sense... thanks! sgs

    Are you sure it has cracks? It looks like two zip-ties looped together, hanging on the lower feedarm. You can make out the lower zip tie. Feedarm does not look bent abnormally either. I'm only looking at the picture posted here, original ad doesn't seem to have that pic anymore. sgs
