Cable And Satellite Providers Required To Disclose “All In” Pricing Under Newly Passed FCC Rules

Comcast was awful to deal with whenever a problem popped up, I have no idea why the dig team did not show, but I just made my son bury the line. Charter here has been great, on the day of set up, when I was getting the house ready, they found out I needed a new line, I thought, just great, they...

DirecTV allows subs to drop locals

Well, this really sucks for us folks with HS17's, have that nice USB port on the back but can't use an AM21 or LCC to get OTA channels. I still have an AM21 laying around in the closet, maybe I should see about swapping the HS17 out for an HR54. Not only save the $12 but also get the ability to...

picked up random transponder trying to scan in galaxy 19 c band anyone know what it is or what satellite it belongs to

I looked at the posted image of colour bars for the last several days as I experimented with my small dish on C-band. It was on 89W at 4193 H 2615. It's a very strong transponder...as high as 12 dB at its peak on my small dish. It's so strong I could also receive it on 91W with my wide beamwidth...

    Skybox F-3 receiver

The Skybox and Openbox were either the same receiver with different names or they were slightly different models maybe according to market sold in. I have the Openbox S9. It is the only receiver that made the cut when I moved. I keep it as backup in case my Edision fails. It will still receive...

DirecTV allows subs to drop locals

I can - I had a couple of HR20's (with built-in OTA tuner that works just like an AM21) & recorded several OTA shows on locals that DirecTV did not offer, via the DirecTV provided EPG data.

Cable And Satellite Providers Required To Disclose “All In” Pricing Under Newly Passed FCC Rules

That was the Wrong answer .... Typically, most companies that deal with wiring that will lay on the ground till buried, have Subcontractors responsible for burying the line ... Pitty the person that needs a line replaced during the winter as the Sub can only bury for like 7-8 months. (up north...

Cable And Satellite Providers Required To Disclose “All In” Pricing Under Newly Passed FCC Rules

Back in Michigan, had underground wiring, when they updated the system in the subdivision, they ran cable from the outside boxes to the houses, said they would be back in a few days the bury the wire, they never came back to any house, I ( and I assume others) called after a week, told me it was...

Cable And Satellite Providers Required To Disclose “All In” Pricing Under Newly Passed FCC Rules

A few years ago I was having issues with my cable TV and needed a tech to come in to diagnose. This was still when you could receive most channels without a set top box or cable card. He saw the number of connections I added to the system (I think 4 max) and said that I needed to disconnect...
