I purchased a new HD TV today (Phillips 42" plasma at costco - $1889).
Went immediately to Cablevision in Norwalk to get the HD Box.

Cablevision only provided a connectivity manual, nothing that really allows you to get into the features of the STB or tell you how to program the remote to work with your TV.

I consider CV highway robbers. Drop into the pick-up the 8300HD costs you your monthly rental only. If you want a cablecard install - $1.50/month, but they only give you cablecard with professional install (another $48)

Anyhow, I managed to find the HD8300 user manual at SA's website which has allowed me to set the box up correctly for the TV.

Anyone know where I can find the technicians manual and if possible the same for the IO remote.

Here is the completeDVR User manual: http://www.io.tv/pdf/dvr_guide3.pdf

Here is the install guide: http://www.io.tv/pdf/io_install_dvr_hd.pdf

Here is the remote: http://iotv.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/io...WFyY2hfdGV4dD1kdnIgcmVtb3Rl&p_li=&p_topview=1

Unfortunately I couldn't find the remote instructions in a pdf.

They should have given you the DVR book and component cables when you got the box and the remote is supposed be packaged with batteries and a code booklet.

The only real difference for the tech manual is a seperate sheet with directions for manual provisioning.
