Ralf called into Sputnik radio show tonight and asked about German channels on Amiko A3. I knew it would be perfectly doable and was quite easy even without me understanding German or what I was really looking for.
I had thought I'd have to "hack" an American A3 into a German unit to get the Apps but as it turns out our Americas A3's can get all of them except RTL direct from Google Play Store. RTL would be like UK Apps where I have to do something special to get the App then put it in A3 Appstore.
Anyway here is what I did and what I got.
FilmOn has a bunch of German channels on there already. To get them you simply switch to the German gateway on your VPN if you are using the recommended Privateinternetaccess VPN and App from A3 Appstore. Then install/launch FilmOn, also in the Appstore.
For the German specific Android Apps it is almost as easy. It took me awhile since I don't know German so I started with a couple from Ralph's list and Google Play kept suggesting more.
To get these on an AMERICAS A3, turn OFF your VPN so you are using your normal internet connection. Go to Play Store on your COMPUTER and install these to your A3.

Once you've installed the one(s) you want and you see them at the bottom of your A3 App list, hit the VPN App and select the German gateway again. Now choose an App and if you read German or Forrest Gump through it like me you'll get live channels and VOD.
It looked like 50 or more between the few Apps I looked at on A3. I tried 2 live streams from 2 of the Apps, both played great and both were in HD!
