Am setting up my dish and want to hit the best sat for fta channel selection. I am in SE Arizona. Thanks!!

97W would be my first choices, depends on what you desire. There are others - Check Mikes lists at MPEG CENTRAL 103W cor COZI (if not available OTA in your area) would be 2nd.(but 30 inch may be too small)
97W is probably the easiest to 'hit' as its got 240+ channels. Not all are English language tho.

Agree with Fat Air, for stationary KU it's 97W. Once you get an idea of how to set things up and make adjustments, think about adding a motor to get more sats (you won't regret it). If you make the jump to a C band dish, start at 99W, lots of good channels there and strong signal (lots more if you motorize that one). Good luck!:)

I agree with suggestions mentioned above. I know another member who started right next door to 97w, on 95w (Ku) Galaxy 3C, it only has 2 channels in English, your 30" dish should work just fine.

If you haven't already, you can check out some sites like Lyngsat.com, Satbeams.com, Sathint.com to get an idea what is available ITC (In The Clear) on each satellite. They are not completely accurate as things change from time to time but still are a very good resource.:)

my azimuth is good--but I seem to have another problem. My traxis wont let me tune to 97w it stays on 97e- and there are no US satellites in its list of satellites. It is the traxis dbs6100hd.

No problem, look within your sat list for option to edit or add satellite, if it´s not on the list you can add Galaxy 19 97w

yes I found that-and that is where it wont allow the 97w- it lets me change the numbers with a 000.0 format and the E stays constant at the end of the numbers. is that normal?
