NBC’s new drama Chicago PD (1.5) was down 25% from its premiere last week. NBC brass likely had hoped for a smaller drop but the cop drama at least retained 100% from its lead-in, Law & Order: SVU.
The American Idol premiere pushed down ABC’s comedy block. The Middle (1.8) was down 18% from last week, Modern Family (3.2) down 9% and Super Fun Night (1.7) down 6%.

Down again from 2013, American Idol still locked a Thursday victory for Fox. Night two of the competition's season 13 premiere averaged a 3.8 rating among adults 18-49 and 13.2 million viewers. That's a 32 percent drop in the targeted demo and a point off of Wednesday's opener.
Over on NBC, Community (1.1 adults) and Parks and Recreation (1.2 adults) were both down three-tenths of a point from last Thursday. Sean Saves the World (0.8 adults) dropped two-tenths of a point, while The Michael J. Fox Show tumbled four-tenths of a point for a new series low of just a 0.6 rating in the key demo.

Sochi Olympics Take a Bite Out of Big Four Competition

They can't all be The Walking Dead. Five nights into the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, NBC's coverage of the games finally caught up with the rest of the Big Four. Originals on Fox, ABC and CBS all dropped against the sports coverage, several hitting series lows.

'The Voice' Tops Monday With Most-Watched Episode Since 2012

The first Monday without the Olympics was still a good one for NBC. The Voice returned for its midseason cycle, slightly earlier than last year, topping broadcast TV for the night in the key demo.
The two-hour episode averaged 15.7 million viewers, up from both last March (13.6 million) and the fall (14.98 million). That marks The Voice's most-watched episode ever, outside of the post-Super Bowl special in 2012.

Mondays are good for NBC

NBC was number one Monday night in both the 18- 49 and total viewers. NBC´s Blacklist dominates the 10 PM timeslot above ABC´s Castle (number 2) and CBS´Intelligence (in a far number 3).

The Two Jimmys Battle For America’s Late-Night Viewing Habit

Three weeks into the post-Jay Leno Tonight Show era, his replacement Jimmy Fallon is still the frontrunner, though his margins have shrunk, his ABC competitor Jimmy Kimmel has regained ground he lost temporarily during Fallon’s highly hyped first week with a Sochi Olympics lead-in. Now the two Jimmys are settling in for the long haul, as they wrestle over America’s late-night viewing habit.

Strong 'Modern Family' and 'Survivor' Top Night, 'Suburgatory' Falls

CBS had preemptions and delays thanks to ACC and SEC basketball in some markets, so Survivor (and other shows) could see their scores change. As it stands, Survivor (2.5 adults) is up a tenth of a point from last week. Criminal Minds (2.3 adults) fell by three-tenths, while CSI (2.0 adults) grew by the same measure. CBS posted a 2.3 adults rating and 10.2 million viewers for the night.

Another solid night for NBC, taking again the 1st place on 18-49 with The Voice and Blacklist. CBS, again 3rd on the 10 PM timeslot behind NBC and ABC.

CBS dominates most of the week so it's surprising why they're fielding such a poor Monday lineup. Go figure!

Monday hasn´t been good for CBS at least this last season as I remember Hostages didn´t work it was 3rd place and now the same with Intelligence. mmm sounds like some Intelligence work is really needed there to find a show to compete on Monday.

NBC's The Night Shift held steady in its second week. With its America's Got Talent lead-in, the summer drama scored a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49 -- off just a tenth of a point from last week.
As for Talent, the night's (and, thus far, the summer's) top program pulled a 2.8 rating in the key demo. That's down two-tenths of a point from last week's premiere.
Off by the same measure was ABC's Extreme Weight Loss (1.1 adults). Week two of the unscripted series led into a slightly lifted finale of Celebrity Wife Swap (1.4 adults).

Riot (0.4 adults) dropped another two-tenths of a point on Fox. It matched a steady and low I Wanna Marry Harry.

Over on The CW, another summer reality debut fared similarly poorly. Famous in 12 (0.3 adults) launched shy of even last summer's comparable effort, Capture.
