Domain Names are Property - rules Canadian court

Internet circa 1994-1995. Win95 wasn't out yet.
Trumpet Winsock just released by a guy from Australia(?)...
I'll never forget the first time I connected to the internet using Windows 3.11... :)

TUCOWS was a place to go to get all the Winsock software...

Diogen.

that's going a ways back, but yes I remember the days when trumpet was it.

Those were the same days that I had several scsi drives and a tool called system commander so that I could boot my choice of win 3, win 95, solaris and free bsd.

Now I just spin off virtual machines.

Not until you said it. But it does ring a bell from years gone by! :)

Ditto.

But there must be more to it. It would seem the Brazilian company has little basis for taking away the name, even if they trade under it. Many entities would have some cause for many, if not most, domain names. And it wasn't a squatter. First come, first served.

Ah, I remember when I had a chance to get pretty much any domain names I might want, but figured there'd always be time later. :(
