A friend of mine at work is originally from the Philippines. He heard me talking to someone about FTA and asked if there was any FTA from the Philippines. I told him that I didn't know off the top of my head but I'd ask you guys. I did a search and turned up with very little. Lyngsat lists Galaxy 25 as having a religious channel but my friend is looking for news and maybe some other programming. He knows about and subscribes to FilipinoDirect but was looking for some FTA channels to add to his lineup. Thanks in advance.

My wife is from the Philippines and unfortunately there are only three radio stations (two religious) on Galaxy 25. NBN used to be fta on G10 but the carrier went bankrupt (they carried about a dozen other channels as well from other countries several of which are now on Dish including Video Italia, etc). NBN is now part of the Filipino package on Dish.

There's virtually nothing FTA that is Filipino, the one channel is a guy who says he's the Son of God, a la Jesus Christ.

Thanks for the replies. With all the ethnic programming on FTA I'm a but surprised that there is nothing from the Philippines. I found some older satellite lists that listed a couple but it appears that they have moved to pay services. I guess his only option is with DirecTV at this time.

    Thanks again.

Dish and Direct gobble up some of those stations rights so they can charge for it :(
