If I go to lyngsat and look at a satellite, lets say SatMex 5. I can see some channels that are Analog Clear and other ones that are Digital Clear. I got some questions:

1) Analog clear and Digital clear = FTA?
2) Can I tell from the lyngsat table if I would need a C band or Ku band to get them? HOw?

1. Yes : )

2. C-Band channels have a 4 digit Frequency and KU band channels use a 5 digit frequency.

Great, thank you.

Now, can I tell from there and having my longitud=83.44 how big of a C or Ku dish I need?

For example to get from my longitud some Ku channel from Intelsat Americas 6? HOw can I find out from that table in lyngsat?

THANK YOU PBS. This is a great site, unbelievable all I have learned in just one week and all thanks to you all. Great site, great people.

Now I now what those numbers in those maps were. I was asking myself that question for days. jajaja. thanks.

You can also click in the beam column and it will tell you whether or not it is C or KU band and where you have to live in order to reach the channel.
