How is signal from LPB 11811 on a 90cm dish in the southern Minnesota area?. I have not installed it but was hoping to get it with a 90cm but since it's a DVB-S2 a 90cm may not be enough. I don't have the MicroHD yet so I putting out feelers for it for signal readings.

Thanks guys..

Unless it's raining, LPB almost always comes in nice and strong with a 90 cm dish here in central Minnesota. I would recommend one of the inexpensive PLL LNBFs on the market, though, not just for LPB, but other DVB-S2 signals as well.

Also note that during the school year, LPB routinely broadcasts high school sports and uses its satellite space for backhauls. While the games are being played, the "normal" LPB channels will be temporarily unavailable.

I'm north of Minnesota and I am getting the LPB channels on my 90 cm. I found you have to be tuned efficiently to get it without blocking. It was one of the tougher channels to get with my 90cm dish.

That's good to hear. I plan on using a 2 lnb 4 degree spaced LNBF's to get 87º as the primary bird and 91º for the secondary. The signal from 91º is pretty hot so the off center feed may be ok for that bird. I was hoping LPB would be worth something as it has an HD channel and I can't see 125º at the moment for the regular PBS feeds. Having 91º would be nice for newsfeeds or the occasional backhaul. I am limited in dish space so anything I can do to get the maximum number of satellites received with the least amount dishes would be great. I have plans for a 1.2 meter with a positioner in the future but would like a fixed dish for those two satellites.

Thanks for the information, really helps when planning a project!.

when I had my setup in the Twin Cities (near Mistake Lake Casino) I used a 76cm dish and had NO issues on LPB. Once of my favorite stations

I'm north of Minnesota and I get LPB with about 70 percent quality on a microHD and a 90cm dish.
