Winter meetings have started so the stove is going.

Lots of big ticket items this season. Where does Ohtani sign, will Soto get traded to the Yankees. Yahmamoto is courting suiters.

Anywhere but the yankees ....

We hear WAY too much about the yankees every year, weather they are any good or not.

Never were. Toronto was supposedly in deep talks.
Except, the Dodgers could Pay more, so he went to the Highest bidder.

Its really a Win Win for Ohtani, he went to the highest bidder AND stayed right where he was, doesn't have to up and move anywhere if he doesn't want to .

Does he have to be a double threat ?

Dodgers signed him to that ridiculous contract knowing he may not pitch ....

Basically they just raised the players salaries Once Again, all other players will now use this contract to get themselves more money, even though no other player does what he does.

Spot on! I dont want to hear about the players making to much. You can afford to pay big bucks, you have big bucks! Everyone went crazy when Reggie Jackson was the first million dollar player. Look where they are now?

Yes, and OUR Prices continue to go up every time someone signs a huge contract.
$12-$15 for a $3 beer is ridiculous.

Oh, I'm not blaming the Players ...
However, if a player doesn't get signed, everyone screams "Collusion"
And a good reason they scream that. Is well over 60 years the owners screamed they couldnt afford such high wages. Every time the union said fair enough, then open your books and prove it......They have never opened their books, and have gone quieter about wages! Look at the billions they spend on their parks? After all it all comes down to players are entertainers, and the owners take full advantage of it!

You do have a choice, do not buy that beer, only then, when enough do not buy, will they learn.
