R15-500 vs. R15-300

I just got one of my R15-500 replaced with a new receiver because it was having issues. DirecTV replaced it with a R15-300. Does anyone know what the difference between the two receivers is? Did I get cheated by them downgrading me from a R15-500 to a R15-300? Let me know. Thanks!

It's not a downgrade. They are made by different manufacturers to the same Directv specification.
