RIP Joe Paterno

Looks like CBS Sports (who broke the story that Joe Paterno died today) jumped the gun. NBC News, CNN, Washington post all have tweeted or facebooked the Paterno family says Joe has not passed and stories to the contrary are wrong.

It just goes to show, you quit working, you go downhill. Seen it much too many times. Someone works themselves constantly to the bone, then when they retire its like they give up. Like was said, sad end to a great life. But yea, he isn't dead. Truely horrible that a new agency can just go and run a story about someone like that, goes to show they don't care to check on the facts, just worried about ratings and being the first to break a story. Idiots.

JoPa really didn't retire....

Remember, The Bear didn't make it what a month after he retired ...

Yea, true, however he was planning on retiring at the end of the season, either way it probably would have ended the same, though I am sure that the added stress of being totally humiliated like he was most likely played a part in the quick demise. People do not realize that the mind really does have great power over physical health.

He's said that before as well.
