Does anyone know what these two actually mean? I know the numbers are blown out of proportion, but some say 480 is a 120hz panel while others say it is 240hz like the 960.

Id guess 480 is 4 times 120 for whatever meaning, and 960 is 4 times 240 so the 480's are indeed 240hz. Then they have a 240, which is 4 times 60hz IMO?

So, what the heck is the difference in the tech other than the refresh rate of the display? I also wonder why the 55" models are 960 while the 65" is 480...

Nevermind, I finally found a good article sifting thru google seach.

Just a product of a 60/120/240hz panel with backlight scanning.

Yeah. My 4K has motionflow 960 and it is a 120hz native panel. Personally, I leave it off. I've had ZERO motion issues on any source.

S~
