Are you sold on only these 2? If not, how about adding some other very popular models, or if so, add neither as a selection.

If I had to choose between only these 2, I say PNP3.

my local circuit city only has these two, and I've tried the starmate from best buy already.

I would recommend shopping around online for the full line of makes and models, not letting your local electronics retailers steer you just because of their lack of knowledge or inventory. Take a look at some of the XACT or JVC products HERE, but if those are the only 2 you look at go with the PNP3.
