I am Tim from Bijou Media I will be doing a preview on the Satellite Expo in Reno, NV. The preview will take a look at the Expo what it has to offer, Detailed descriptions of the exhibitors, training and Sponsored events. Also I will be reporting on the best dining and nightlife. The preview will offer up some reviews on the best dining near the convention center along with nightlife.

So here is the big question. What do you the attendee want to know about Reno, the Exhibits or the training so on so fourth. I want to do what I can to make the expo not only informative, but also entertaining for you being informed via the 2007 SBE West can make the event more worth while for you.

As part of the of the SBE West Preview I will do a page on the STARS BOD Canidates. The page will have a Bio of each Canidate, and will have a little bit of what their plans are for the Org.

For those of you unfamiliar with STARS, or Satellite Technicians, And Retailers Society, this is a new organazation that is deicated to techs, and dealers unlike the SBCA, which has a main function of catering to the platform providers. Stars will offer training, and certifaction as well as many other benefits.

Myself I consider the vote for the first BOD to be very critical, they will form the foundation of this organazation from, which in years to come it will build upon. I'm at work on the SBE west preview.

I have a list of shows compililed list of casinos eateries so on so fourth.

I'm proud to announce that I will again make a list of companies that are looking for techs that will be on the site. You don't have to be an exhibitor to get listed, but must be an attendee of the show. Publication of the preview will be sometime in mid September.

The SBE West preview is set to be published on Monday September 17.


There are listings for restaurants, bars, nightclubs, attractions, casinos, shows, and events. There are links to exhibitors listing, registration, and of course a link to Xtra Good satellite, John Hacks home company. Also there is a photo gallery of all the expos of past, along with the SBE East Photo Show.
And hopefully if I can get it to work an interactive Google map that will have all the restaurants, casinos etc. On it, so you can see where everything is in accordance with the convention center, and hotel.


I will have some reviews, and articles on the attractions around Reno along with some articles about some of the exhibitors. The October “Dime for Your Thoughts?” e-zine will be about the 50th anniversary of Sputnik, which is October 4th. The theme music for this addition will not be music at all, but the first transmission from telstar 1. This was the first trans-Atlantic transmission via Satellite. It will be an audio clip of the transmission. A great little piece of history.


What's out:
I was going to have a listing for fulfillment companies that would be attending the expo, I will not have that. I was going to have a bio for the STARS candidates, and some information on them, that part of the preview has also been canceled.




It looks to be a spectacular show. The preview will run until after the show.
