I just saw a commercial on one of my local channels WVAH-11 FOX out of Charleston, WV a VoOm advertisement. It says to call 1-888-291-VOOM (8666) or go to voom.com/tvoffer but that website says that they will cease to exist after the end of April. They are advertising 3 rooms for $1 plus two months of premium channels for free. Hmmm, what is going on here? Why would they be advertising if they are going out of business?

Even if one calls the number it will give you the shutdown message. So jeslevine said those are old ads. It is game over, pending (like a lot of us said) a miracle. Miracles are not easy to come by.

1)They must have signed a contract for a certain amount of ad spots and the station showing them is just fufiling their end of the agreement. Voom will have to contact them ( which they must not have yet) and asked to have them stopped. Voom will have to still pay the amount agreed upon since they they will be in breach.

2) Second thought here. The first department the Voom (Cablevision) can close is the Advertising and Marketing Department. So since no one is home in that dept. then there is no one to make the cancel calls.

3) The Advertising/Marketing Department is still staffed but since the employee's days are numbered they just don't give a s**t.

Would you?
