When will there be a reliable fix on the channel changer?

The fact that you cannot rely on the product to change the channel when supposed to do so, really does make this product unreliable. I'm not trying to flame anyone here. It's just the truth. I bought this product because it did certain things and what was promised that it did and what it really does do are to different things. This channel changing issue is huge. I would like some sort of update on what's happening to rectify this issue more than just, "We're working on it".
