How do I switch the Dishplayer to pass through my antenna to the TV?
ON Home Am I missing something or does the 7222 not have the basic ability every VCR has to turn off the signal through the antenna out like a TV/VCR button?

You're not missing anything. The only way to pass through the antenna connection is to turn it off.
A better solution is to not connect your antenna to the Dishplayer at all. If you have a TV with switchable inputs, or you normally have a VCR connected to the TV as well, you would be well advised to connect your antenna directly to the VCR or TV. This will let you watch from the antenna while the Dishplayer records a PTV program from the satellite.
If you can connect your Dishplayer to the TV or VCR using the RCA jacks, you'll get a much better picture than you will from the RF connector anyway. If your VCR and/or TV support S-video, use it. S-video will produce superior results.
"Lifeline Cable" can be substituted anywhere "antenna" occurs in the above statements.
