I know there is a Sky Angel forum but it is not very active so i figured this is the best place to go. I install dish, wild blue and sky angel. My problem is i used a dish 300 and a non-dishpro LNB and a 311 on a set up. I called in for activation a week ago last tuesday and still no programming. I get a signal strength of 100+ on the 61.5 sat. I have rebooted it several times and changed the non-dish pro LNB. nothing, sky angel has sent one hit after another with no results. Could it be that I am using a non-dish pro LNB?

It shouldn't matter whether you're using a DP or Legacy LNB. Rather puzzling that you have not received an activation hit. If your signal is good, then the next step would be to verify the R00 and S00 numbers with Dish and Sky Angel match what you actually have at the address.

I gave my mother Sky Angel for Christmas using a brand new DirectTV dish and LNB that I got off Ebay for $16 shipped, and my old 4900 receiver. My biggest problem: getting a new yellow CAM out of Dish. 2nd biggest problem: getting Dish to activate my old receiver. Seems Denver was seriously snowed under at that time and they just didn't get around to it for nearly 2 weeks.

It's possible with the new prices and upgrade deals, Dish is again buried, metaphorically speaking. I don't think Sky Angel subscriptions are very high on their list of priorities.

I verified the R00 & S00 with sky angel, should i do the same with dish?

I know the folks at Sky Angel tell us that it takes three business days to activate a receiver. But I have heard from folks that it has taken them 4-6 BUSINESS DAYS (a week to a week and a half) for their receivers to be activated.

If you can receive channel 9902, there is nothing you can do but wait for the receiver to be activated.

See ya

Did you try a switch check ( I know you have just a single dish) but I once was not having my programming coming in and I did a switch check on the signal screen and that caused the programming to come in.

Keep us updated Papalittle. There is no more advice I can give, then what the others have said. Like Tony said if you can get 9902 and you have a good signal all you can do is wait for activation.

yes I can see channel 9902. yes I ran several check switches, changed LNB......

I will be in the town I installed it in tomorrow and will be stopping in to see if it is working.

all other sky angels I have done were on within 3 days.
