There is nothing forcing them to go to HD. It's only requiring digital (nothing about High Definition).

I believe DircecTV has at least a partial sponsorship with Clint Bowyer's 07 car. They've done a few races a year as a primary sponsor while being a secondary sponsor for the other races. I don't know about being a primary sponsor in '08, but DirecTV is at least a secondary sponsor on the 07...

No 701 for me. I'm not a ST subscriber. I'm not in an O&O area. But I do have the HD-DNS Fox (West). I figured if you had HD-DNS you would get 701, but I guess not. Not that it matters since I'm getting it on 89 and 399 (in HD).

What makes it worse is that E* has SD locals in MT, but not DirecTV.

I read somewhere where Hotpass will go HD (hopefully) later this year when the new bird(s) are up and running and they have additional bandwith (so MPEG4 receiver most likely needed).

Ok. What's the best/easiest way to get a larger dish (from Voom). I'm in Montana, so I have the same problems as others in the Northwest. My signal is in the upper 80's on a clear day. Yesterday, in a light drizzle/rain, it dropped to the lower 70's and I was losing picture. Thanks.
