I'm wondering, what's your favorite satellite (give spacifics please) and channel for entertaining feeds.

One of my good friends has a favorites list on his receiver of channels where he gets the best and most entertaining feeds.

He showed me it once, we were able to pick up the best (ok... more like worst) reporters b!t<h!ng at their camera guy, and at their crew back home, colorful languaged sportscasters, and such.

I'm interested in some storys as well. :)

Years ago during the 1st Iraq war, Charlie Juco from CNN was on F1 Tr 20. He was all full of cusswords and saying hi to the satellite folk at so and so bar across America.

Peter Jennings on a Anik A1 ku band backhaul years ago yelled at someone during a newscast commercial break to get him a pencil.

There was a MNF football party with the Packers on the ku side of T301 or one of the replacement birds on a late season Monday night. MNF had a hookup at Majkowski's house with everyone drinking beer and cussing and beer and cussing. ABC finally had the mics cut in the 2nd half until they were shown on the network. That was more entertaining then the game. Wish I had it on tape.

In today's world, good backhaul news conversation between anchors and news reporters can be found on AMC 9, IA 6 and AMC 1. Those are my favorite birds. I was watching an analog feed last week from Ft Hood for some Fox station in Texas. Some guy came by driving yelling the reporter before she came on the air. She called him some drunk a......e.

good times. :)
Which side of AMC9, IA6, and AMC1 are the good ones? C or KU?

Rams were playing the Seahawks in a pre-season game in Seattle one year. Buck and Green are doing the backhaul back to St. Louis. Uplink where G2 used to be located on c-band. Gordon Elliott comes on the feed live in Seattle in the booth. Tim and Joe spent the next 5 breaks cracking jokes about how bad Gordon smelled.

Chick Hearn lovingly yelling at Susan Stratton in the truck. From numerous commercial breaks during the KHJ/KCAL days

Arsenio doing play by play in 1989 imitating Joe Tait on a Cavs blowout for the Cavs TV Network also uplinked on G2 at the Forum and then cutting NBA Fantastic promos afterwards while the remaining crowd is heckling Arsenio while Arsenio is practicing threes from the corner where the promo is being shot.

Dick Enberg reading a CBS promo his 1st year at the network on a GE3 Ku leitch backhaul from Denver where he mentioned NBC instead of CBS when reading the promo during the game. Then apologizing for it during the commercial breaks.

Miami Heat announcers talking about the Lakers cheerleaders and questionable sounds coming from their mouths during commercial breaks the 1st 2 years the Heat came to Los Angeles (G2 backhauls as well).

Brent Musburger at CBS saying hi to everyone on satellite on a rare Westar 5 Tr 7 c-band backhaul from North Carolina for a college basketball game.

NBC's last game on c-band for MLB from one of the Canadian satelltes when Tony and Bob did the game from Toronto against Baltimore with Gayle Gardner down on the field. Bob is extremely disappointed before the telecast that NBC is losing baseball to CBS.

Bills-49ers no punt game on K1/15. Only time i saw a game with no punting.

Brett Favre's first win in same season on K2/9. Both were NBC feeds. Favre comes off the bench late in game when Packers QB got hurt.

Bengals/Vikings game last week of the season. Backhaul wasn't scrambled. Also at same time, watched Packers party ku side of T301. Packers players were cussing, until ABC had the mics cut until they were on air, lol:D

Watching raw feeds during 1989 earthquake. watched feed from Candlestick Park and feed from KGO at the Bay Bridge at the same time.
