And no, before you ask, it's not the remote receivers recordings that were "lost." :)

It may have been a coincidence that the MRV beta shut off, but we lost a ton of recordings today at some point.

We weren't in space danger, and I don't THINK the free space moved after losing them, which is odd. Makes me feel like they may still be there, I just can't see them. I've done a RBR, but that didn't bring them back.

I just had the the service less than a week and they turned it off .The message I got didn't say you could buy the service how much is it a month

Are you running a CE release or the national release? I know if you roll back from a recent CE release to the NR it deletes your recordings. Actually they're still there but the NR software cant recognize them and doesnt show them.

Maybe on the CE release if you lose mrv capability that disables the code that recognizes the newer recordings made after the CE was applied?

I'm totally fishing here.

If a user does do this do those "invisible" recordings take up HDD space?

... and if so does the FREE meter report incorrectly as 99%?

Thanks

Since I have no idea what the exact setup for the code is or how it works, I can only guess. I've never done it myself, but I've seen people go from the CE to the NR and 'lose' the recordings, reapply a newer CE and get at least some of them back. I havent seen anyone who said they were certain they got them ALL back, and I dont know if the recordings exist and are marked as used space or if the people who downrevved and uprevved again just got lucky and/or only got a portion of their stuff.

The symptoms just sort of smelled a lot like the same ones as going back to the NR.

And I hear if you have directv come out and do the DECA install the first thing they do is force the box to download the latest release, which is currently the NR that doesnt support the recordings made by any of the current cycle CE's.
