OK...we get it. You don't like the 922. I still think it's pretty cool with a lot of potential yet to come. As Scott has hinted many times, I don't think Dish is ditching the 922, and I am looking forward to all the cool things it will do in the future. "Have patience young grasshopper".

Okay I get it. Hope the 922 turns out to be all it was promised to be ,but going by Dish history it won't. The web tv dishplayer was supposed to do many of the things the new google box is doing ,but that turned out to be a flop due to the microsoft dispute. The 721 was supposed to have a web browser in it, it never got it and is now defunct. The 921 was an expensive $1000.00 brick that is now defunct. Now the 922 was supposed to have a web browser and sling to another hd tv using a sling extender... Looks like history is repeating itself.

I liked the concept told to me at the CES video that Scott made last January. Even the press release that DISH made about the sling extender coming soon made me want this receiver. Now they pulled the mention of the sling extender off the DISH site. But all these things made me like the potential for the 922, So much that I upgraded and spent the money to buy one last May. I like the channel logos and the extra hard drive space . My complaint is that the very things that attracted me to the 922 told in the CES video are now deleted. This is classic bait and switch tactics that piss any reasonable customer off.

But I get that I have said enough about the 922 and the rant is over. But be warned that the 922 may never be more than it is right now " a souped up version of the 722k ,without the reliablity of one , plus the higher monthly cost . I'm through with the subject.

Goodnight and good luck .:)
