For a year I have had virtually no success in watching recorded shows through the Dish app on my phone (Droid); or iPod Touch. It was my router, my connection speed, my network, the Sling adapter itself (Dish replaced it). Nothing was consistent at all. Until this morning when I got the new version of the app on my iPod, the list of My Recordings came up almost immediately and I was able to watch recorded programs. However, at the exact same time I was watching a show on my iPod my phone said my receiver was offline. Leads me to the easy conclusion it has been the app all along since the Droid app has not updated yet.

I'm in the same boat -- Dish Remote on IOS was very inconsistent and could not be trusted to work well, particularly after I upgraded to the Hopper/Joey, UNTIL now. With the recent DVR software updates and now today's Dish update of the iPhone app the remote function now works VERY well. It's fast, reliable, and video looks great. I'm extremely pleased that Dish got this all worked out. I wish they did it faster, but in any case it's clear they've been doing some serious retooling under the hood and this has paid off.

Kudos to Dish for making this a priority and doing it right. I know have Dish service anywhere I want it. In the house, I can use my iPad as a portable "TV Anywhere" device.

Sure helps to catch the football game while waiting for my wife to finish shopping at the mall too.

Great stuff.

I would just like to know if there are plans to support Windows Phone 8. That platform seems to be worth a try and I might get one of the phones, but I've noticed while browsing their store that DirecTV has an app, but searching for Dish through the online store comes up with nothing related to Dish Network. Maybe a Dirt representative knows something.

I've asked this before and I was told it's not on the road map due to such a small percentage of windows mobile users vs android and Apple devices. I'm sure they will continue to put all resources into continuing to make the Dra apps better and better.

The app works awesome on my 722k. The best part is that I can stream the video to an AppleTV as well. Very cool feature... Its much faster and video is way better
