The aggies get under everyone's skin. It's also an Oklahoma/Texas thing.

Like I said no one misses them.

I get the rivalry/hate thing being a Bama fan. That said, if Tenn or Auburn left for a different conference, it would suck. I would HATE to lose that game every year. I do not care what Texas fans say, they feel the same. They would rather have that game back and deal with the "whining". I would just about guarantee that.

So you're trying to convince us that the Big 12-2 is better now after losing a top 10 team? LOL.

While the SEC, ACC, BIG10 & Pac12 where having their conference championship games the Big12-2 was largely ignored and was really irrelevant.

Sent from my iPad using SatelliteGuys

They weren't a top 10 team when they left. They were a .500 team that choked when the pressure was on. Good for them they had their first double digit winning season in 15 years instead of barely finishing above .500 like they usually do.

Like I said no one misses them, they're the ones running around, going "look at us, see we really can win a game."

Yep, we were ignored on championship weekend, while having 4 nationally televised games including 1 in primetime that drew better ratings than the 2 CCG being televised at the same time. Heck our afternoon games drew more attention and better ratings than the acc championship game.

Yep the Big 12 is so weak, that millions and millions of viewers tune in to watch week after week.

I agree somewhat. Having the game back is one thing, missing them being in the conference is another. Texas has to worry about actually beating TCU/TTech in the Thanksgiving game now, before they can worry about scheduling the aggies.

I am pretty sure that I am the only Aggie who has posted on this thread, and all I said "Long time no see, guys! I loved the game last night!" I was just dropping in to say hi because I've been spending my season on other sports boards. If I'd known I was going to be ambushed by some jackass with a anti-A&M vendetta, I probably wouldn't have bothered.

Jeeez...
Happy New Year to you as well.

My apologies if your feelings were hurt. My comments weren't directed to you, but to the aggies in general and you made comments about the Big 12 which I have and will continue to defend all season.

I made comments about the game and the aggies in general, so calling me a jack ass is fine, I've definitely been called worse. We're all here to have fun.

Well the Big East and ACC are currently taking care of that, you know we have to give them something to cheer about.

Doing it "every now and again" is not the same as doing it constantly or even at least say keep t at .500.. it happens so infrequently that when it does happen it becomes a big deal. I mean when FLA destroyed Big east champ cincy in the sugar bowl few years ago no one made a big deal of it cause well it was just suppose to happen. But FLA drops the ball against Lousiville and all of a sudden FLA was over rated... Scar absolutely destroys Clemson but loses to LSU.. Then LSU barely loses to Clemson and all of a sudden LSU is over rated? Ya know the saying of any given sunday... it could happen. But what makes a conference or team great is when those sundays are far and few between. And in hte last decade that has been the case for the SEC.

I've heard the same thing happening to the Big 12.;)

The sec has a good bowl record, the big 12 has good regular season records. Everyone wants to look at something different.

The problem with the big 12 and the reason people see them as weak is they seem to never show up when it matters. This year the two top teams in big 12 all pretty much got embarrassed. The saving grace wsa Texas squeeking by Oregon st, and ok st of course beat purdue... (The 7th best team in the very down big 10)..

Seems against the top competition Big 12 falls short, (seems to be the case year in and year out for quite awhile now), where as typically the SEC has done best in the biggest games, and failed short against the lowest competition.

Haven't watched a ton of ND football this year, except against USC. But I just dont see them having the depth and ability to hang with Alabama. ND went through a weak big 10, and beat teams that fell pretty easy in the bowls.

I am not sure the spread on the game but id almost bet the farm and give the SEC another title.

Bowl records just don't matter in my opinion. There is too much of a layoff between the last game and the bowls and most teams just don't care about the game. i.e. USC in El Paso for Sun Bowl.

Unless it's the Title game or a team has something to prove (Boise, Utah, Louisville, Clemson) you won't see much more than guys running through the motions.

Is it finally here? The 98th bowl game of the season?

Isnt there like 5 more bowl games in places like Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Missoula, Marquette and Bangor, ME? The "you barely became bowl eligible so we're gonna put you in a bowl where you can freeze your ass off" bowls.

Milwaukee...the beer and brat bowl
Marquette, MI...The Copper Country Anthem Bowl
Missoula....the "Montana could kick both your asses" Bowl
Bangor Me...the "hey we got 2 college teams to come to Maine" bowl

and in Minneapolis the
"oooooohhhh so this is what it looks like to see a team win a bowl" bowl :)
