Finally got the update. It seems like a month--I guess it is.

First look, I like the new info screen. I like the "You may like" with tiles. Don't think I would want all of them but it is good to get suggestions from both the schedule and the downloads, which I'm usually not looking at. I really would like to be able to limit the schedule to critic rating of 3.0 or better and the downloads to a Rotten Tomato of say 70% or better. I use a lower limit of IMDb rating 7.2 and would like it higher but might trim too much. (Rough rule: IMDb = critics+4.0.)

My real worry is the transfers of shows previously on EHD--many didn't make the transfer either in or out--often stopping on the last 5 seconds. The first try didn't make it for "25th Hour" disk-wise with the A's. I going to test more especially those that got to the last 5 seconds. A new trial worked although it looked like it wasn't going to and another! When the new versions came, I was caught in changing from disks with all having the same IMDb rating changing to alphabetical. I'm getting tired of the rating changing and either having them on the wrong disk or having to move a lot of them. This should be a one-time change but long and painful made more painful by some not going. [I was able to move a large part of the A's but "almost" only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades and leaners are not counted I hear.]

Expect re-sorting 6000 GB to take quite a while.

Now if I could save some of those downloads, permanently, to fill in the library.

I like the new font selections.
The yellow on my DLP in movie mode (more subtle) is not orange anymore.
The serifs help and the translucent window opacity works with the brighter yellow.

I've still got some transfer problems, currently from EHD to HwS.
Not the few seconds left (so far) but from just starting to nearly finishing somewhere.

Noticed I have a SCI channel tile for a program from HDNet Movies channel 383, now #130.
This was the 1957 3:10 to Yuma. That's one problem with Dish moving channel numbers.
This one transferred as a singleton but didn't go in a group. Is that another problem?
I'm having success moving from EHD to internal HD but less so the other way.

Do you have any problems with it activating? Sometimes I have to hit red-cancel or cancel-cancel to start it up. I have a H2K btw and got updated again this AM.
 
I could swear that the captions were reluctant but don't remember what brought it back.
Mostly working but sure I didn't need red reset. Or do you mean red remote?

I think all ready Hoppers got updated from what little I'm seeing.

Oops, another failure to transfer a singleton to the EHD in the last seconds. Now have 4 stacked up.
This is going to be tedious to transfer thousands. Going great from the EHD until I fill the internal.
Remember they transferred into Hopper, just not getting all out again.

Sorry, red remote button followed by cancel usually starts it. Once it starts I like it - no jumbled lines and nice smooth scrolling.
 
I would say yes fredp!! ;) :) Hopper w/Sling still on S330 and Joey still on S358 and any ideas when I may get it? Thanks for any help and replies!! :)

I seem to have lost some recordings I made from ota. I had a bunch of Christmas shows that I had recorded from local PBS stations. I had tried to transfer them in the past to an ehd, but they never completed so I was waiting for the new software. Went to transfer them from the HWS but couldn't find them this morning. Got the upgrade overnight.
I went from 330 to 335. Never got 334

NEW PROBLEM:
I was transferring 3 shows from HwS to EHD. All 3 stopped seconds short before with S328.
The first was moved, the second has disappeared, the third was not moved.
It reported that "" was transferred and kept saying that with each cancel.
Pulled the power on the EHD and the repeat stopped.
A reboot will have to wait. No, I don't need the new recording, so I stopped for a reboot.
I had rebooted after some of my transfers a couple of hours ago. It's not finishing this reboot.
Trying red-button reboot again, twice. Into acquiring signal. Partial success, recording 2 shows up.
Recording 1 didn't get moved? Recording 2 is now on the internal AND on the EHD. How's that?
Why can't I duplicate a file when I want to? Must have caught the moment of transfer.

Sure could use the tiles for the EHD. Why are they not stored on the EHD?

What the wife and I don't like is when you go to the info screen. We were in the habit of pushing select when done looking. Now if you push select, it starts recording. Will just have to get used to it. One good thing is the long black screen delay between channel changes seems to be gone.
 
I just noticed the skip forward and back add theactual time per click , nice. So 4 clicks skips 2 minutes or 4 back shows 1 min.

A record maybe, but who knows what this addressed. My guess is that it was just a minor code change that didn't do anything much. We'll have to wait until February probably for the next major software release. I'm just not holding my breath any longer.
 
Also still on the S330 and joey 358. I have several apps which just don't work, Pandora, the dish account app, the weather channel, the one for photos (picassa, etc) The only thing that seems to work is the game finder. Not a big deal but I'm wondering if my hopper is not feeling well :( Seems nothing major has happened from reading others input here but curious if the 334 or 335 might cause some of the things not working to work is all. Actually I just now hit the blue button for the little app bar at the bottom it shows the spinning circle and doesn't load anything nor does going into the main menu area and selecting apps, so I guess I've gone from 1 app to no apps, lol.
