I would like to see the cool home automation stuff that they demoed at CES.
Hopefully, it is not like the concept remote for Hopper they showed off a few years ago at CES and then disappeared into the vapor.

Would love to see a Youtube app for Hopper so I want have to change inputs to go to my XBOX. Would also like to see better package deals..
I bet they show off a lot of the home automation stuff on the trade show floor. My favorite part of the trade show is seeing the new technology and talking to the engineers. Last year I got to see the Virtual Joey in action. This year I'm sure it will be the Wireless Joey and home automation along with some new concepts.
Because the thread says Team Summit wishes. Isn't that the sole purpose of this thread?
It would take more bandwidth, but of course there are advances in compression to help offset the extra bandwidth. The satellites are essentially just mirrors of what is sent up from the ground. It is all digital, so they can simply put in a 4k broadcast using the new compression in the uplink and the satellite will just send it, the receivers though will have to be able to understand the signal.
Maybe next year at CES will will see the Hopper 4k edition... But since there are no 4k networks, all it probably would do would be like 1080p is now in PPV.
