Big Shake-up to Happen on 99w and 101w C-band

My biggest peeve, beside that it's leaving FTA,is that even if it ever becomes OTA around here,it will never look as good as it does now thru my AZ Ultra upconverted to 1080p :oldfrown.

The local sub channels are never as nice as the satellites feeds. I currently only watch MeTV OTA in the kitchen on a small TV where it's not that evident. I have made recordings from the local affiliate and hated the way it looks. I'm glad I made plenty of recordings the past few years. Maybe now I'll finally have the time to watch it all.

I was walking around the yard yesterday thinking about where to point my fixed dish that's currently on 101W. I didn't anticipate that.

I am way more concerned about losing fox completely than anything else. Metv is nice but fox carries a lot of sports programming I can't get anywhere else. And my only source for fox is 99w.

Same here for me, even if it comes and goes with the clouds. I may leave my dish parked on 99W, or I might turn it to 87W later on to see what happens. I still haven't decided quite yet.

For the folks who are complaining about losing MeTV on FTA and having to "resort" to their local feed I have one comment

Be happy you can still view it.
I agree, MeTV is not available OTA in my rural area but no big deal, i can always find something interesting FTA to watch.

There is a rumor out in Puerto Rico that WPRU will switch affiliation on November first? Could it be the return of CBS they had it five years ago?

107w still might be an option for me if something happens I am going back to 97w ku and try to 107, 110, 103w, 97, 87, 91w.

I'm sort of interested in Classic Arts and maybe I'll investigate that for a minibud in the spring. I've got all winter to sit and plan.

Bummer, I liked the FOX sports feeds from the east coast. Does anyone know if KRBK will remain?

I'm getting a local station out of New York City in SD pretty strong; despite it being cloudy and snowy today. I'm still getting a good handful of other channels on the C-Band dish despite the bad weather and light snow on the dish. :) I suppose it helps living in the bullseye of the signal, I'm not complaining. :-D

Update pr and vi are gone stopped at 8 am. Krbk is still on. Any news on 101w c band are they gone yet or still there?

I use several C Band dishes, but on my smaller 7.5ft mesh I'm still getting all the PR channels on 99W and the METV and Movies, etc. on 101W, as of 5:15am PST. I never bothered to bring in METV on 99W as it was already on 101W, so can't say about that one?
