Need password for OTA

Just noticed that watching OTA from joey, It had me enter password to view OTA channel that
happened to no have guide data. All my other channels I could regular tune to. I have HWS with two
Joeys. Have to seen this posted anywhere on this forum. Software s517

If there is no guide data the channel is flagged as NR/AO and will require you enter the password to view it

Ok is there any way to override this in settings?

Yes remove the password unlock the system. You will no longer have parental control but you won't need a password.

Try this and see if it helps.
Menu Settings Parental Control Make sure that None, No and No are selected and then Go to Edit Ratings and selecct Restore Defaults.

You set up parental controls - why ? Is it to block more "mature" programming, stop someone from ordering PPVs, etc ?

Then you will have to enter the pass code. Can't have it both ways.

Change your parental settings to

Ratings restrictions: None*
Hide adult channels: Yes

*Anything "higher" than none includes "NR/AO", which, as Matt mentioned, is applied as a safety net when Dish doesn't know anything about a show.

Most probably since there is no guide data the system errs on the side of caution when it requests your password.

It is WHPM Fox23 Hattiesburg-Laurel MS in case dish is not aware.
